Loopmasters presents :Radiophonic Synth Workshop ! This wonderful delight of a sound package is an electronica junkies dream. The textures and Sound Fx are sublime and most perfect for so many styles of music ,personally i would highly recomend this for serious producers from Dub to Electro but aprt from that this is also pefect for Virtual DJs using such software as Traktor in fact i have done two performances so far using these sound with added fx and the crowd absolutly loved it! 10 out of 10!
A fine spread of audio garnish for your productions. Beautifully recorded analogue synth sweeps, fizzes, zips, whooshes, bells and whistles. Definitely an FX library as opposed to collections of syth notes. Very useful.
All sorts of freaky blipps and blopps here, as expected really ! Some of the tuned percussion sounds are great , quite easy to fit into a track. However, whilst a lot of the textures are really cool , they require a bit more work to become usable. Some really great stuff though, hopefully will feature some in my current remix. Thanks again for an interesting and inspiring bunch of audio goodies :)
This collection of BBC inspired, sci-fi-esque sound effects nicely emulates the analogue sound of the now legendary and highly influential sound department there. The Loopmasters pack updates the sound quality making it cleaner than the originals although with perhaps a little less character. However, any producer who knows his stuff should be able to easily add a little ‘dirt’ to the mix to bring that colour back to it and the cleaner sound quality adds to the overall usefulness of the samples. As always from Loopmasters the quality is high and due to the source material that inspired this collection, I would say Radiophonic Workshop is an essential buy for any music producer.
A chunk of drones, sweeps and other random analog textures to build up some atmosphere to your sci-fi productions. Very much in the vein of the BBC Radiophonic workshop sounds that populated Doctor Who, Blake 7 & The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and many other BBC sci-fi programmes between 1958 & 1994. This pack is great for if you use kontakt, nnxt, sfz, halion or exs24 you can get inside the patches and really start to create some different modulations and add you own effects to get it more dirty and low fi.
Excellent collection of longer synth textures and shorter FX events. There's a lot of warm glow nostalgia here and folders of shorter sounds ('micro' and 'nano') are very useful grab bags of inspiration and flavor in the form of smaller bursts. If you're looking for a fantastic synth-based pack that's got some grit and (thankfully) isn't preoccupied with sounding too trendy and du jour check this one out.
