Double Tape Drums is our new series focusing on rich and interesting drum sounds, based on our love of recording to analogue tape. This edition blends analogue synthesiser drum sounds (mainly from the Moog DFAM), recorded to Tascam Porta 1 and Tascam 144 cassette machines, with chops taken from our vast catalogue of reel-to-reel drum break recording sessions. The results include 188 punchy one-shots and 140 top loops consisting of Moog DFAM-infused riddims, as well as hi-hat and ride loops which utilise synthesised noises and tones for added interest.
