There are plenty of labels fighting over the music of Josh Butler. It’s bass driven, sumptuously groovy and places plenty of emphasis on the melodic top lines, which draw influence from a whole lifetime of listening to any music going from Kerri Chandler to Pink Floyd, King Tubby to Paul Glazby. So far it has been released on OFF Recordings, Pura Music, Cajual and Definition and has sat pretty in various charts across the web, as well as being found in all the right DJ bags in clubs worldwide. Testament to his skill in the studio is that he is as comfortable working with the house heads likes of Darius Syrossian or Hector Couto as he is remixing internationally recognised, Glastonbury headlining megastars like d&b dudes Chase & Status. As a DJ he is more than confortable entertaining and educating crowds with his house, bass and everything in between selections at places like Secret Garden Party, various Ibiza clubs and places across Europe and London on a regular basis. With plenty of ideas and the proven production skills to carry them off, Josh Butler is only just getting going.
