Nagara instruments are from India, but have Arabic origins consisting of two single-skin drums, with stainless copper or ceramic. The tone of the drums is adjustable and played with the hands that are used to profane music. The Berimbau is a stringed instrument that’s very old, consisting of a wooden bow Birimba, of African origin, but also widespread in Brazil, where it is used to dance Capoeira. Bendir, of Arabic origin, is a frame drum and used throughout the Arab musical tradition, including belly dance.
