Strictly Dub returns with volume three which examines the foundation of classic 70s dub in the style of legendary maestros like King Tubby, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Joe Gibbs and the dozens of other masters who created an entirely new art form by utilising their skills with the technology of the time to create an entirely new genre of music that has permeated across the globe and continues to morph into new, modern takes such as jungle, dubstep, trap, grime, hip-hop, and beyond.
Inside this pack, you’ll find quite a few dry and FX-processed samples for you to chop, edit, and make your own with three tempos (127, 129 & 132 BPM) and loads of drum grooves (full kits, hi-hats, snares, rimshots, rolls and more), plus a load of skanks - organs, electric keys, guitar, music combos, and heavy basslines as well as a nice selection of percussion options to bring your songs together with fresh ideas and sonics.
Please note: some of the FX-processed samples were dubbed live and have not been quantised to sync perfectly. They are made to sound live and be layered into your tracks.
Gear used to create this pack includes a 1973 Fender P-Bass, Gretsch Drums, various live percussion instruments, a Fender 1986 Stratocaster, a 60s Guitar, Benidub Spring Reverbs, Phasers, Echos/Delays, a wah-wah pedal, a B3 Rotary speaker, Strymon pedals, and various UAD plugins.
