Prepare to funkify your beats with Loopmasters’ newest release, Tru Funk Essentials. Crafted by four exceptionally talented musicians, this sample pack guarantees an authentic funk experience. The loops in this collection span a dynamic range of 105 to 125 BPM, providing you with the utmost freedom to explore a variety of rhythmic possibilities!

Tru Funk Essentials boasts over 70 electric guitar loops performed by Jack Craig, a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and educator based in southern England, specializing in funk and disco guitar. With 20 years of experience running a funk and disco cover band, Jack’s deep knowledge and authenticity shine through. Inspired by players like Nile Rodgers, Prince, and Tony Maiden, Jack used a Fender Stratocaster, Fender Telecaster, and a Gibson Les Paul through a Fender Champ to deliver those classic 70s/80s vibes. Small amps have been used on countless classic records and you’ll hear the valve warmth, even on these super clean sounds.

The sample pack also includes a stellar set of keys by Elliot Harrison, a professional artist, producer, and musician based in the UK. Elliot’s passion for music has led him to work with multiple record labels, as well as perform at festivals and clubs all over the UK and internationally. With influences from James Brown, Jimmy Smith, and Herbie Hancock, Elliot focuses on delivering the hottest funk loops using vintage instruments like e-pianos, organs, and more.

No funk collection would be complete without standout basslines, and for Tru Funk Essentials, Luke Burnett Smith takes the lead. Based out of East London, Luke is a session bass player with over 20 years of experience, specializing in disco and funk. Luke has played for various artists over the years, including Nick Hayward and T’Pau, and has extensively toured the UK and Europe. Using a 74 Jazz Bass and a 76 P Bass through a Universal Audio 6176 channel strip, Luke adds that essential groove to the collection.

To tie it all together with a solid rhythm, Paul Grover brings his expertise with a groovy set of drum loops. Known for his versatility and hard work, the drummer has an impressive track record, including international tours, major festivals like Reading and Leeds and Secret Garden Party, national radio and television appearances, drum masterclasses, studio sessions, and more. Drawing inspiration from drumming legends like Clyde Stubblefield and Bernard Perdie, Paul used a Sonar 1960’s birch drum kit, a Beverley Cosmic 21 late 1960’s snare, and a G.A.M. Roberto Spizzichino Copper snare, along with Bliss and Dark Matter cymbals by Dream.

In detail expect to find 905 MB of 24Bit 44.1KHZ wavs - 79 Keys Loops, 73 Drum Loops, 71 Guitar Loops, 56 Bass Loops, 27 Drum Fills and 69 Drum Hits.

Tru Funk Essentials is your ticket to an authentic, soulful funk experience, which blends the talents of Jack, Elliot, Luke, and Paul into a must-have sample pack for any music producer or enthusiast.
