Loopmasters proudly presents West Coast Hip Hop, crafted by veteran musician and producer Mark Lodge. With over two decades of experience across genres—from hip-hop and R&B to electronic music—Mark is known for his skill in blending live instrumentation with modern production techniques.

Throughout his career, Mark has collaborated with platinum-selling artists and writers like Kel Spencer, Omar Lye-Fook, P Money, Promise, and Duck Down Records. His role as musical director for BBC 1Xtra's Maida Vale sessions has further refined his ability to integrate live instruments into contemporary sounds.

Recently, Mark has focused on sound design and sample creation, culminating in the release of West Coast Hip Hop on Loopmasters. This sample pack delivers authentic West Coast vibes, featuring live guitars, bass, and piano loops—personally performed and recorded by Mark at tempos between 68 and 100 BPM. It also includes lush string arrangements for violin, viola, cello, and double bass, inspired by the cinematic soundscapes of the early 2000s.

Packed with live drum breaks and an array of drum one-shots, West Coast Hip Hop covers a spectrum from raw, organic hits to crisp, electronic sounds. Mark has also added classic G-Funk synth bass lines and grooves, plus a range of synth FX loops to bring out that unmistakable West Coast flavor.
