Produced using (mostly) hardware analogue synths, pianos, organs and drums, and recorded via a jaw-dropping array of high-end outboard, this fat 662MB collection of royalty-free sampled loops and MIDI files is perfect for building deliciously evocative groove-driven soundscapes for the late night hours.

Covering a range of tempos between 100 and 140bpm, Downbeat Soul comprises 119 fat analogue synth lead lines and chord riffs, and 32 emotionally charged piano and organ chord progressions, pinned down by 96 fat, funk-inspired analogue synth basslines and 48 quirky, dubbed-out drum loops. 15 vibey guitar and bass FX slides are also included for extra flavour in the edit.

The samples were recorded at the Amy Winehouse Foundation studio in London, using Avalon preamps. Instrumental high points include Prophet 600 and Juno 106 synths, an upright piano and a Electric Organ electric piano; while the rhythm section drew on a variety of drum kits.

To aid you in the production process, Looptone have also thrown in most of the MIDI files used to create the samples (110 Synth, 96 Bass, 32 Piano/Organ), as well as 45 drum one-shots with which to program your own beats.
