Traditional sea shanties and their musical backings, recorded off some real-life salty dogs and other old-school pirate types. Everything has the glorious whiff of rum about it, and all the samples are full of joy.

The mighty fine guitar and banjo picking, flute, and bass at play drives the ale mug clanking party with crowd atmospheres adding a nice dose of well-earned shore leave frivolities to the proceedings. There’s also some great lead and chorus vocals and a nice selection of electronic synth gear booted up, bringing the ancient mariner music bang up to date.

It’s fierce four-to-the-floor folk funk, for those of you looking to add a shiver to your timbers.
