Simply called Analog Pads, this sample pack from Konturi is a 613 MB micro library in 24-Bit/44.1kHz WAV format. There are 100 analog synthesizer pads in this collection of futuristic sounds for ambient, soundscapes, experimental and electronic music. Many of the sounds have that big, wide and warm tone – as you’d expect from a title dubbed “analog”. This was nicely done, in part that the samples were created with a various mix of analog synths from Black Corporation, Moog and Sequential. Couple that with the processing power of hardware boxes such as Chase Bliss CXM 1978, Erica Synths Fusion Box, Roland Space Echo, Sherman Filterbank and SSL Fusion and you have a library that is capable of delivering deep sonic material. All the pad sounds have been stylistically programmed to fit into today’s modern production. It covers plenty of ground (not just the genre mentioned above), but overall this sample pack is a good toolset if you’re looking for subtle, background sounds. The addition of 100 corresponding MIDI files makes this a winner.
