Loopmasters’ Synth Explorer series expands once again with Pulse. The samples here for sound design and music production can be beneficial, especially if you make techno and house. Pulse contains 1.44 GB of material, packed with well-recorded analog sounds from a synth with three oscillators. You’ll find 333 synth loops, 94 bass loops, 171 FX, 58 synth hits, 39 bass hits, 39 drum hits, 26 chord hits, 20 lead synth hits, 13 stereo synth hits, 10 synth multis and eight drones. That’s some varied materials there, not to mention the 179 soft sampler patches for Kontakt, EXS24/Sampler, NNXT and SFZ. All loops and one-shots are in 44.1 kHz/24 bit WAV format, and the loop tempo ranges from 100 to 140 BPM. It’s clear that this pack takes on the dance side of electronica, but I find the drones, synth loops and chord hits useful for cinematic projects as well – especially if you slow down their tempo, they can be an immediate inspiration for cinematic purposes.
