For this collection of 12 16-pad drum kits, Mode ran the Roland TR-505, 808 and 909, Alesis HR16 and Korg Volca Beats drum machines through a 65W Roland amp, via a chain of analogue distortion and effects pedals. As well as straight-up super-saturated kicks, snares, claps, hi-hats, cymbals, toms and percussion, Amplify also throws in some processed -tape delay, reverb (and other effects) - and layered hits, and it all comes together beautifully as a ready-to-go source of hard-hitting electronic rhythm tracks.
