Focusing on twisted, dark and sinister elements, Blackout from Cinetools delivers a selection of dark thrilling, nerve-racking, heart-stopping samples to help you craft your next blockbuster score, trailer or game music composition. Content-wise, Blackout has plenty of good, cinematic samples, so original and highly versatile that it covers plenty of ground. Weighing in at 8.5 GB, this library includes more than 900 files in high quality, industry-standard 96 kHz/ 24-bit. The samples themselves are great, with a Cinetools distinct vibe. They are extra special because they were meticulously designed on actual analog synths and heavily processed to create more organic sound. This library is divided in two folders of Designed SFX and Designer Tools. Designer FX contains ready-to-use sounds for scoring, while Designer Tools contains all the necessary elements you need to design your own analogue and organic sound effects from scratch. This is great way to expand the already huge content this library offers. Of all the sounds, the 66 Pulses and Patterns, 113 Hits and 48 Soundscapes are my favorite. These are superb for cinematic productions, as well as modern electronic music making. I’d say if you have extra cash to spare to get this. Do not let the price deter you from purchasing this library as it has some really great sounds.
