No-one does head-nodding golden-era hip hop soundware quite like Rawcutz, and Boom Black sees producer Turf Smoke dishing up another belter. A ton of crate-dug one-shots and loops are usable individually but also come folded into 50 16-pad Groups and Drum Racks for Maschine and Live, complete with MIDI patterns for instant deployment and customisation. The beats are super phat, and underpin some of the smoothest instrumental lines we've heard in ages. Pricey for a sample library, but sample-hungry hip-hop connoisseurs won't mind.
