This new pack from San Diego-based producer Freddie Joachim includes a mellow collection of loose hip-hop beats and an array of dusty bass, flute, horn, strings, grand piano, electric piano, guitar and Moog riffs. There's a mixture of hardware and software sources, leading some of the loops to sound a little too clean and underproduced, but the majority of the pack is well written and performed, with a warm, textured finish. Of particular note are the characterful, varied guitar riffs, the well-played keys and the vibe-laden drum grooves. Also included are a mixed bag of bass, FX and musical one-shots, plus some well-chosen drum hits. You also get 73 sampler patches, including some pre-made drum kits, plus a handful of MIDI files taken from the main loops.
